Bulletin #4

Canadian Committee for a neutral citation standard

Hello everyone,

Some developments in the last week. First, you may

have noticed "ad hoc" and "the development of" have been

dropped from the name of our Committee, making it less of a

mouthful. I think all will agree.

Jennifer Jordan, registrar of the Appeal Court of

British Columbia, has joined the Committee and will be on

the next conference call. Diane Bourque is back from a short

holiday and will be on too.

We've talked with the McGill Law Journal, the Editor

of the Canadian Guide to Legal Citation, and there's a good

possibility they might join the Committee.

You will notice there's a new section on the Web page,

a set of links on Canada's Court system. Some provinces have

a good description of their court system, others not. Some

departments of Justice still do not have a web page.

Be sure to block your agendas for next Wednesday,

13h00 Montreal time, which is 14h00 Atlantic time and 10h00

Pacific time. We're planning for an hour, but we'll reserve

90 minutes with Bell Teleconferencing just in case.

Ruth and the rest of you will probably read this

on Monday morning, but I can still wish a good weekend to

Jennifer, because it is only 3 pm in Vancouver will this

is being written.

        Regards.

        Guy
